Hi everyone,

It's pretty apparent that VIC is dead at the moment. Certain events transpired in the past and as a result the club fell into a slum.

With that being said; the admin team (listed below) are currently working to bring VIC up to it's former glory and then some.

So this is just a message to say that we're not gone; we're coming back better than ever!

Hi all,

As you may have been aware, we've been working on a girls only section for Victorian Imports Club. We believe that there are many girls that are interested in the Import scene but do not feel comfortable with either coming to meets/cruises or even posting on forums because of the reception they often get. We hope that a section just for girls can help to solve this. Perhaps once they get comfortable being on a forum and going to meets with other girls they will come to regular meets, increasing our member base and diversity.

The aim of the girl forums is to allow girls to chat and organise their meets/cruises without being interrupted by guys. Don't be confused though – girls should not aim to post only within the girls' section. The girls' section should be reserved for topics that only concern girls and the regular forums should be used for everything else; member introduction, showroom, car related discussion, technical, etc.

There are a few rules we have with the new section, however. Because we cannot accurately moderate who is and who isn't a female (realistically) we have left viewing of the new section open to males and females, and even those with their sex set to "undisclosed". Only females may post in the section. Any males found posting in the forum are likely to have their post removed, warned, and if they continue to post they are likely to be banned for a short period.

So you do not accidentally post in the girls' section we've gone to the trouble of making a different theme to be used for the girls' forums. It has the same layout as not to confuse you, but different colours so you know you're somewhere out of the ordinary.
If you feel strongly that you must reply to a post or question (and it's constructive and useful) we suggest that you do not post in the thread but PM them instead.

Hopefully we do not have to moderate our new section too heavily or give out warnings/bans, but just in case we've added two new moderators, of just the girls' section: jesss14 (Jess) and sil80sr (Billie).
We ask that you please do not try to play moderator, if you see a post that you think does not belong, as always, you should hit the report button and let us deal with it.

Please keep in mind that this is a trial, if things don't work out or it becomes too much to handle then we'll revisit the way it's done and if we cannot come up with a viable solution we will close the girls' section. So please do the right thing by us and the girls.


Thanks goes out to Jess for being so committed to getting this up and going – we hope you can have just as much success as you did with the first girls' cruise in future.
