Site Terms and Conditions
Thank you for taking the time to take note of the terms of use for Victorian Import's Club which by becoming a member are adhering to with your every day use.
It is important you take the time to read the following information as it will guide you through our guidelines for using our online forums and various chat mediums that we use on our website(s). Firstly, the Vic Import's Club management team will not be held responsible for any posts made by any member be it responsible, knowledge-filled, helpful or the complete opposite. You agree that in essence what you do read on these forums may be unreliable and any advice you receive cannot be used against those in whom provided it or the Committee that supplies this medium. Any posts made on the Vic Import's Club forum are the views of the author of each individual post unless otherwise informed by the Club President to the contrary. Any member who feels that a posted message is inappropriate or unacceptable viewing for the general public is encouraged to make contact with the moderating staff in regards to the issue so that it can be resolved either by editing the post or removing it in its entirety. Moderators are given the power to edit and remove posts and will make every endeavour to do so in a timely manner if they decide any such posts supply sufficient grounds for removal. You agree that as a contributor to the Vic Import's Club forums you will not use this forum to post any information that is knowingly false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening or in violation of any law set inside Australia. Please observe the following rules when using the Vic Import's Club forums: * Any posts that could potentially be taken offense to such as comments regarding race, religious beliefs, politics, members vehicles, lifestyle choices will be edited or removed entirely. * Any posts made outside relevant off-topic threads that are viewed by the moderation staff to be of no relevance or generally useless may be removed at the discretion of the moderator. * Any explicitly offensive material will be removed from the forums and a warning or suspension will follow. Punishment to be decided on a case by case basis. * Under no such circumstance will any threats of physical violence be tolerated on the forums (including the Private Message service and other chat mediums provided by Vic Import's Club). Immediate removal of rights to use the forums will be actioned upon in this case. * All members to agree and obey the established terms of use of the Vic Import's Club Trader Forum. * Commercial Traders are not permitted to use the Vic Import's Club for the sole purpose of attracting business and/or gaining profit without first being agreed upon by the Vic Import's Club Committee and it's Sponsor Co-ordinator(s). * Images are to be resized to a suitable size for use on the forums to meet both viewing and bandwidth limitations. Moderators will remove photos that are too large and will advise how to avoid future problems. * All steps must be taken to ensure correct posting etiquette is maintained for easy reading. This includes correct spelling and excessive use of what is commonly referred to as "sms language". * All steps must be taken to ensure that new threads are created in the correct forum section. For instance, anything to do with a car shall be posted in General Automotive. Brakes in the Brakes / Suspension forum and especially in the case of items for sale they must be posted inside the Trader forums. Moderators will move threads to the correct forum and advise. * Try to ensure that the information you are posting or seeking hasn't been discussed previously on the forum by using the search function. A re-discussion of a topic may result in closure or deletion of threads. * 'Bumping' of a thread is only acceptable if the thread has moved away from the first page on any specific forum (i.e. You find your thread on page 2). Any earlier 'bumping' will result in the post being removed. * You should not provide any contact details (phone number, address) on any public forums and you WILL not provide anyone elses. Posts will be removed and warnings issued. * Try not to quote with image links. We've seen and had to load the pictures once already and that is enough. We have a team of moderators and admin whose job involves watching and overseeing the general posting happening on the Vic Import's Club forums and checking for breaches of the rules you have read here. The moderator guidelines advise to respect those who are posting but also be firm in ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable experience on this forum and it is expected that the moderators will act responsibly. If at any time you feel that you have been over looked, mistreated or have a general complaint about a member of staff there are several senior staff members you can make contact with to discuss. Threads created to complain about a moderator, something a moderator has done or a general negative comment about Vic Import's Club will be removed instantly and private discussion will follow. In summarry, the general way to achieve a thorough enjoyment of using the Vic Import's Club forums is to remember this only requires one thing: common sense. If you believe something should not be said or posted on this forum - you're probably right. The Committee and administration team here at Vic Import's Club would like to thank you for reading and adhering to these rules and strongly hope you do enjoy your use of our forums. |
